CENTER IS HOLDING

Excuses, Excuses

To clarify: this written thing is on hold, not the restaurant. Sorellas, I’m happy to report, is doing OK with takeout, while I’m doing OK, just OK, eating my lasagna and drinking my Nero d’Avola at home on Saturday nights, desperately trying to recreate the back room at the center of the universe by watching Wendy and Steve on Facebook Live. I put the blog on hold, after three years, because I was so wrapped up in completing, revising, re-revising and now promoting my forthcoming novel, Loudmouth. And then came the plague. I’m confident that one day the virus will pass, and we’ll all fall back in each other’s arms — I don’t want to imagine any other universe. For new readers, I should point out that, though this blather is labeled a blog, it’s secretly the start of my next book and maybe even stranger, more perilous things (hint: I’ve got drafts of a dozen songs). See you on the other side.
